Crowley Care Services is a leading provider of aged and community care services based in Ballina. As a ministry of St Francis Xavier’s Parish Ballina, Crowley has provided care and services to the local community for 35 years and has a reputation for superior customer service and facilities.

We have an amazing opportunity to join our Home Care team.   We are looking for someone who is a highly motivated and an enthusiastic team player who matches our passion, so it is important that you enjoy your work, are positive, and love what you do.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Provide ongoing case management to our clients and their needs, tailor client care with the ability to think outside the square
  • Prepare client budgets and actively work with the client to ensure that these are understood, and that supports provided are within budget constraints without diluting the quality of services
  • Manage an allocated client caseload, conducting assessments and reviews customised to ensure a holistic approach to meet the client’s individual situation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective home care clients / families
  • Liaise and promote Home Care services to external providers

The successful candidate will have:

  • Preferred knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care or Disability industry
  • Great people skills with a warm friendly manner and a passion for helping people
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to confidently learn and utilise organisational software
  • A genuine willingness to learn and be challenged

Registered Nurses

Crowley Care has opportunities for Registered Nurses to join our Residential Care Team. Delivering quality nursing services in the residential setting in a professional and efficient manner which will reflect the organisations reputation in care services.

Experience in delivery of Chronic Disease Management, Palliative Care and a knowledge of Accreditation, ACFI, Care Planning and Quality Systems is preferred.

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Current registration with the NSW Nurses and Midwives Board
  • Demonstrated competence in contemporary nursing practice
  • Sound clinical knowledge and experience relevant to the Aged Care setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as a part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of external and internal stakeholders

  • Manage a team of Care Service Employees (AINs)
  • Liaise with residents, family and stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with RNs, GPs and other health professionals
  • Act as a positive staff role model and mentor to staff

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Hold a Certificate IV in Aged Care or be an Enrolled Nurse with Medication Endorsement;
  • Possess an excellent understanding of ACFI in theory and practice
  • Have strong time management skills
  • Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team; and
  • Have strong communication skills
